ABOUT
As an international board-certified lactation consultant, IBCLC, I have the skills and experience to support you throughout your breastfeeding journey. Over the last 10 years, I have worked with breastfeeding families in the hospital, inpatient setting as well as the outpatient. I truly love working with breastfeeding families and it is a career very close to my heart, as I have been on the patient side - struggling to breastfeed, in pain, worried that it wasn’t going to work, and seeking to find answers and help. I understand that every breastfeeding challenge is unique and requires individualized support. I provide compassionate and customized care as we work together to meet your breastfeeding goals.
SERVICES
90-120 minutes. $200
This typically includes observation of a feeding with latch and positioning assessments. We will determine how much milk your baby is transferring at the breast and discuss techniques and strategies to improve milk transfer and comfort as needed. We will discuss any questions or concerns you may have about breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and/or pumping. You will be provided with a customized breastfeeding care plan specific to your breastfeeding goals.
Home Visit
Follow-Up
Following an initial consult, a follow up consult may be beneficial as it allows me to observe an additional feeding, address any new or continuing issues, and update the breastfeeding care plan to reflect any changes.
45-90 minutes. $125 - $175
It is preferred to work together in person, especially for an initial visit. However, this visit type may be ideal for general breastfeeding questions, prenatal visits, returning to work, weaning, plugged ducts, and mastitis.
Virtual Consult
45-90 minutes. $150
Prenatal Package
This package is ideal if you are a first time mom or if feeding did not go as planned with previous babies. It includes a virtual prenatal visit, initial newborn breastfeeding consult scheduled in the first week after delivery, a follow-up home visit, two 15 minute calls after each visit, and two weeks of messaging support.

INSURANCE
Springfield Lactation is partnered with The Lactation Network, which accepts several insurance plans, including: most Blue Cross PPO, Blue Shield PPO, Anthem PPO, Cigna PPO, Humana PPO, and VA CCN plans. Most plans that utilize MultiPlan and PNOA are also covered.
OUT OF POCKET
If you are paying out of pocket, you will be provided with a document called a "super bill" which contains the necessary ICD codes that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
